Coming Events

Chaplaincy is the work of pastoral ministry carried out with the entire St. Thomas More community. It involves such elements as:

  • school liturgies at the opening of the school year. Advent, Holy Week, the closing of the school year, and other occasions, as well as weekly masses in our chapel.
  • the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent
  • Grade 12 Retreats during the school year
  • support for such community initiatives Hallowe'en for Hunger, the STM Christmas Miracle, Starvathon and Walk with Christ: Justice for the Poor.

The chapel is a place of sanctuary and prayer. As classes, we often celebrate the Eucharist or have prayer services, guided meditations, or orientation tours for Grade 9's. It is a peaceful place to visit when you feel the need to be close to God.

The most important element of our faith life is the members of the community: You, the students at St. Thomas More. You make this school a holy place by your acts of love.

I look forward to meeting you. Please take the time to drop by my office and introduce yourself to me. I will try to learn your name during the course of the year, and I am available if you ever feel the need to talk.

Weekly masses in the chapel on Wednesday mornings before class.

Utopia Club, inspired by St. Thomas More's views on an ideal society, this group follows themes of peace and justice in the world.
