Extra Math Help

Students are encouraged to see their math teachers and arrange for extra help when they are encountering difficulties in a course. Math tutoring is available on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 322. Students are welcome to drop in, when necessary, for extra help. To further assist grades 9 and 10 students, the Ministry of Education offers evening on-line tutoring. This can be accessed at www.homeworkhelp.ilc.org from Sunday to Thursday (5:30 to 9:30 p.m.).

As an extension to the above project, we are also offering On-Math to grade 9 students. This on-line tutoring takes place during regular school hours. Students who are falling behind in class or absent from school can go to http://onmath.hwcdsb.ca to obtain support. For all students in grades 9 to 12 requiring more assistance, there are math tutoring sessions offered by the Guidance Department. These sessions run after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Interested students must register and attend all of the scheduled sessions. See your guidance counsellor for more details and an application form.
